From a Post to a Movement
On September 11, 2020, a small team of 4 eBay sellers (Qasim Sana Ramay, Asif Latif, Saif ur Rehman, and Hassan Grewal) gathered to discuss how to financially empower people in our country in a way that would enable them to scale their work globally.
As they were eBay sellers and had their own eBay businesses in the USA, the UK, and Australia, it was hard to spare time for such mass empowerment. But then, they thought about the hurdles they had faced when they were trying to become eBay sellers in Pakistan. They finally decided to help people through training.
The idea was first to empower them on eBay (as these 4 were eBay sellers) and then launch a comprehensive training ecosystem for other international eCommerce marketplaces. They launched the first and most detailed eBay course in Pakistan and then took this eBay course to the world through its live online training, EBC (eBay Business Course).
Next, they started building an ecosystem for the world's 8th largest eCommerce marketplace, Etsy, by launching the first comprehensive Etsy course in Pakistan, which has now become a complete ecosystem.
They decided on the name of the organization, which had to represent the vision itself; hence, the name "EMPOWERERS" came to mind. Trusting in Allah, they began this journey, and now Empowerers has become a global name in eCommerce training and empowerment.
